TASC FEATURES IN THE STRAITS TIMES

The issue of child injury was spotlighted on Tuesday, October 30 by The Straits Times, featuring on the front page and page two. The Singapore-based, English-language newspaper is widely read throughout South East-Asia.

Written by respected journalist Nirmal Ghosh, the article details the extent of the child injury problem in Thailand, Vietnam and Bangladesh. Mr Ghosh moderated the discussion on child injury in Thailand held in mid-October at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Thailand.

TASC is delighted that senior journalists in the region are taking an interest in the issue of child injury, specifically drowning. We hope that continued media coverage will help educate more people about child injury risk factors and ways they can keep children in their communities safe.
